About Lillian Morimoto

Ever since I was young, helping others have always been first and foremost in my mind. This programmed, or innate, feeling made me realize there was one field for me, healthcare. Being a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, I spend my days combining the anatomic knowledge and analytical skills I gained from my schooling. It is pertinent to obtain a detailed clinical history from patients and produce optimal images, through an extensive knowledge of the machinery and anatomy. This allows me to deduce and assist the radiologist in a diagnosis. In addition to growing my technical skills in ultrasound imaging, what I enjoy the most is making connections. Healthcare is mainly centered around the word “health”, but we often forget about the “care” part. Listening to people talk about their worries, their passions and what is on their mind can make a difference. And I love making that difference, no matter how abysmally small it may be.
