About Lilly Damin

I currently work for Media Sales Plus, a company located in Buffalo that handles the classified sections of a large number and wide variety of newspapers across North America. I work as a representative for PostMedia Network, a Canadian newspaper group that includes The National Post, The Montreal Gazette, The Ottawa Citizen, The Vancouver Sun and Province, The Edmonton Journal, The Calgary Herald, The Regina Leader Post, The Star Phoenix, and The Windsor Star. I process obituaries, in-memoriams, funeral listings and indexes for all 10 papers on a daily basis. This entails handling incoming phone calls and emails, including taking dictated text over the phone, editing text for spelling, grammar, and paper standards, editing photos using Photoshop, and ensuring all notices are priced out correctly and placed on the correct days. I am the market lead on at least 2 papers on a daily basis, meaning I am responsible for making sure all requests for that paper are handled. I also am a go-to person for questions, as I have a year of experience handling all types of issues and unique requests. I am currently looking for new opportunities, hopefully ones that will allow me to use my editing skillset and expand my experience. I have a Spanish minor and would love to use this in some way. What I am really looking for is an opportunity that will allow me to have a positive impact on others.
