About Lilly Echeverria

I’m a South Florida-based multimedia journalist who thrives on telling compelling stories across every medium — from print and photography to video and digital platforms. From 1995 to 2010, I served as a staff photographer, videographer, and video editor at the Miami Herald, where I documented major stories and everyday life across the region. Currently freelancing, my work has appeared in outlets including the Sun-Sentinel, Florida Atlantic University, Dance Teacher Magazine, DHL.com, Amazon.com, League of Women Voters, Florida Center for Investigative Reporting, Modern Healthcare Magazine, Spry Magazine, Miami City Ballet, American Profiles Magazine, YMCA, and the Food Network, among others. I’m also supporting Broward County’s Innovation Unit and Consumer Protection Division — capturing photos and video, editing content, creating graphics, supporting marketing efforts, and helping drive outreach for innovation initiatives. My role contributes to building a more future-ready Broward by helping tell the stories behind ideas and people shaping what comes next. Specialties: Photography, digital journalism, video editing, social media, blogging, storytelling strategy, archiving, content creation, and visual communications.
