About Lin Mondy

My husband and I raised 7 children. My passion for learning led me to provide home education for my children for 20 years. During these years I partnered with friends to establish a support group and supplemental school that encouraged quality home education for families. In 2009, I returned to college to finish my bachelors degree in behavioral science and went on to earn a master's degree in social work (MSW) from Metro State University of Denver where I graduated in 2015. Here's a snapshot of my experience: Graduate degree in Social Work, individual and family studies. Undergraduate degree is in Behavioral Science, Social Work minor-emphasis in Family Preservation. Psychotherapist in skilled nursing facilities. Worked as an elementary school social worker. Worked with children with dual diagnosis as a school social work therapist. Provided assessments for the parole board for men living in a prison re-entry center. Led support groups for women with various trauma histories. Worked with children with behavioral issues in elementary school. Worked with home-educated youth, teaching Algebra for 10 years. Served as a family advocate for Head Start. Served as a social worker with Juvenile Public Defenders Office. Volunteer victim advocate with TESSA.
