About Lin Yik Tee

Mr. Tee Lin Yik holds an honors Law degree from the University of London and a Master degree (First Class) in Intellectual Property from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). He is conferred by the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) as a qualified Registered Patent Agent, Registered Trade Mark Agent and Registered Industrial Design Agent. Prior to starting his own practice, he was serving the Malaysia Government at the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO), an agency under the purview of Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism (MDTCC). During his tenure in MyIPO, he was involved in various domestic and international intellectual property policy issues including Malaysia’s Free Trade Agreements negotiations on Intellectual Property Chapter at bilateral, regional and multilateral level. On top of that, he was nominated twice by the Malaysian Government to represent Malaysia to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland for the Forty-Seventh Series Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO and Third Session of Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP). Mr. Tee worked in one of the Intellectual Property firms in Malaysia and had since advised and provided consultancy to numerous business owners, inventors, Universities, research institutions, SMEs, foreign companies, MSC status companies, multi-national companies and public listed companies in securing their intellectual property rights in Malaysia and throughout the world.
