About Lincoln Githenya

I'm an exploration geologist with experience in mineral deposits in metamorphic and igneous terrains. I am also an assistant lecturer at South Eastern Kenya University, Kenya. I have applied a variety of techniques to better understand lithological units, geological structures and economic ore deposits. I have investigated the petrogenesis of economic minerals in different geological terrains in Kenya. I have also established the quality and quantity of these deposits. My main specialities are in mineral exploration, structural geology, mining geology, Remote sensing and GIS. I have a keen interest in science outreach and public perception of geoscience issues. I also have several years of experience in higher education working as an assistant lecturer of geology.
