About Linda Beers

In my beautiful private studio, I teach both Suzuki and traditional violin lessons. My studio is a comfortable and nurturing environment in which students of all ages and levels grow into great musicians and noble individuals. Students ages 4 and older, including adults, receive violin instruction based on their individual needs. When teaching each student, I not only draw upon my over 30 years of experience as a Suzuki violin teacher, but also my conservatory training of violin masterworks and technique. In person and virtual lessons are available. I am a registered violin teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas and I am a certified Connecticut public school music teacher. I have been a member of the 1st violin section of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra since 1997. Having trained at the New England Conservatory of Music and the Longy School of Music, I have also performed solo recitals and appeared as guest artist throughout New England. In 2017, I created and produced an animated short film, Song of Spring which was accepted into film festivals in New York City and Beverly Hills, CA. On my website you will find information about a 50 card deck I created called Inspiration For Violinists and The Sound Post blog. My card deck is designed to assist and support violinists and other musicians in their creative journey. I write weekly blog posts about individual cards in the deck and other issues relevant to our times.
