About Linda Redpath

I am an experienced Speech Pathologist who started my career in private practice pre and early NDIS, predominately working with 1-18 year olds both in clinic and in preschool and school settings. I have assessment and intervention experience across a range of areas including play, swallowing and feeding, articulation, language, literacy, stuttering and social skills. My experienced extends to working across a wide variety of individuals presenting with various diagnoses including ASD, ID, ADD, ADHD, OCD, developmental delay, CP and Angelmans Syndrome. For the next 5.5 years I worked predominantly with adults with ID, ASD, CP, with comorbidities including anxiety, trauma and behaviours of concern, under the NDIS. I have extensive experience providing assessment and intervention across the domains of swallowing and mealtime management, communication/language, low and high tech AAC, articulation, stuttering and social skills, together with an excellent understanding of working with individuals whose communication difficulties lead to behaviours of concern. During this role I conducted both language and social skills groups, presented and provided training to large groups of carers and staff. I also developed training programs and took many students for clinical placements. I spent the last 2 years as a National Manager of Allied Health who was responsible for a team of 65 individuals comprising Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists (including those with provisional registration), Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners and Therapy Assistants. During this time I successfully led the successful expansion into SA and WA. I have experience managing all staff, waitlists, budgets, recruitment, compliance, governance, complaints and attracting referrals. Throughout my journey I have always put my clients first in the decision making process of service delivery and have an underlying belief that assisting someone to communicate and have a voice is the greatest gift you could give to another, to enable them to interact, build relationships and feel valued in society. I also believe in fostering a strong and supportive environment where clinicians can thrive and receive a high level of intrinsic motivation so they may enjoy their work and focus on quality services and positive outcomes for the individuals who they support.
