About Linda Ritchie

I started working in the wine industry at the age of 18 and found my comfort zone for life, the wine world became a passion, hobby and brought me a successful career I will always carry with me adding to as it grows. I worked my way up and studied wine with WSET college and travelled the world being fortunate enough to meet some of the best wine makers and be involved in viticulture. Then having a child I moved my skills to education but never letting go the wine industry working part time hosting wine tastings and being a personal wine advisor. After working in Education for 8 years, in February 2020 I changed my career path due to the pandemic in England. Moving into Distribution, in less than a year I made my way to management in one of the biggest distribution centres in the UK and was running a team in a multimillion-pound company. I am highly motivated, organised, versatile and successful in my work and can adapt my skills in whatever I do. When teaching I provided the structure for young learners to flourish in an academic setting. Providing young learners with the support they need to reach outcomes they possibly will not achieve in Mainstream school. I used my knowledge and experience in the same way to run a large team, introducing people and starting them on the company journey, using my people skills, support and care to drive a team into a successful delivery of high-volume of work. Meeting all targets set to me and making sure people worked in a safe and healthy manner. Moving to distribution has excited me and I am ready for a new challenge in a smaller environment where I can give that care and support to a team to succeed.
