About Lindalou Stockinger

My career reflects the person I am. Even when I was a little girl I saw opportunities to help people and I was enterprising as well. I started my lawn-mowing and snow-shoveling business when I was 12 so that I could buy that gorgeous Schwinn 3-speed purple bike. I harvested and sold apples to benefit our local church. I usually added my artistic talents, which were few, to my marketing-I think the homespun approach went over well at the time. Getting an education was always important to me. I grew up in a very rough neighborhood and the school counselors didn't talk to most of us about college. But I knew I wanted a career. I found time for fun but I also studied a lot because I earned my education through night school while working full time. It took me 12 years to earn my Bachelor of Science degree and 2 more years to excel in an accelerated program for working adults and earn my Master of Science degree. The bottom line for me is I love to work. My career at the Forest Service helped me use my talents to support the sustainability of our nation's beautiful National Forests. In my work I got to see places I would not have gotten to otherwise and have the experiences of a lifetime, such as meeting and communicating with Members of Congress in DC. I was able to help lead programs that improved the way the agency communicated with the public. My career in Residential Real Estate is equally rewarding. I have the wonderful assignment of working as a Team with my husband Paul -to accomplish ways of helping people achieve their goals. This is a very real way to help people and give them peace of mind.
