About Lindsay Bitz

I am a design student currently expanding on my love for visual storytelling at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. After recently finishing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan, I decided it was time pursue a career in a field that has already brought me many years of enjoyment. Now I am able to use my knowledge of how people think to gear my studies of design at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in the Interactive Design and Technology program. Reading and writing have always been passions of mine, and eight years ago I became obsessed with creating stories visually with graphics. It was a process of learning how to transform my favorite books, televisions shows, movies, and songs, and even characters of my own creation, and use various design principles to create a unique set of artwork. I now aim to turn this hobby into a career that I put a high personal value on, and is an essential part of the modern world. While I’m studying over the next two years, I plan to learn the skills that allow me to tell stories through advertising, interactive web design, and graphic design. My goal is to help make our technological world beautiful and fun to interact with. I also want to do this in a fashion where collaborating and sharing with people of all kinds of backgrounds and perspectives is possible. Most of all, I am looking for opportunities that allow me to expand the canvas that I know in Photoshop into other digital platforms: Illustrator, HTML, CSS and JavaScript in order to engage in a more interactive experience.
