About Lindsay Byers

I am a writer (technical and fiction), project manager and entrepreneur with a background in non-profits, international development, and education. In addition to running my businesses (Scent Workshop), I am a Senior Proposal Manager for Savvas Learning Company. In this role, I lead teams responding to RFPs for K-12 curricula. I also have 10+ years of writing experience (technical, fiction). After a trip to Paris (where I attended a perfuming school), I founded Scent Workshop in 2018, which offers workshops and kits to teach people the art of perfuming and candle-making. I love collaborating with people and connecting people to resources. I am happiest when I'm in a fast-paced, efficient environment and contributing to the greater good. Highlights of my career include securing a grant through Water.org for the Amhara region of Ethiopia, winning awards for writing and marketing from the Council on Aid to Support Education, and securing corporate partnerships and grants from Walmart, Disney, The Hershey Company, and P&G. Causes I care the most about include clean water and sanitation, food security, international and sustainable development, education, and women's empowerment.
