About Lindsay Jackson

Learning how businesses tick is fairly straightforward. Helping them to achieve more is where I get my kicks. From over 20 years’ worth of experience in taking the company brakes off in financial services, e-commerce (design & retail), IT, even how we say goodbye to our loved ones, I have built a formidable insight into the commercial aspects of different businesses, and how to make them perform better. My experience of leadership, team coaching, business change, business modelling, business planning, sales conversion, customer services, stock processing, supplier management and procurement, target setting, negotiations, brand management, event management, nationally and internationally, is laid out in the CV below. I work hands on, which is one of the reasons that my self-authored business book became a bestseller, I became a Director of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and I regularly contribute to the media, and the occasional international conference, on topics such as women in business and professional networking. Through the ‘Women in Business’ initiative I mentor women at different stages of their entrepreneurial journeys. As a previous business owner, thinking ahead, predicting and planning for the bumps in the road, checking and double-checking everything is second nature to me, and I like to share. I also get so much back from it, new approaches and ways of thinking. It is one way that I ‘surround myself with people who push me to do and be better’, to paraphrase Warren Buffett. Another way is through my involvement in the Sense Scotland, Chest Heart Stroke Scotland and Maggie’s charities. If you truly want to be inspired by others support a charity close to your heart. I believe we all have transferable skills; we just need to make best use of them. During the Covid19 Pandemic I helped in various different roles where I could and have worked with the elderly and vulnerable delivering weekly food supplies, Central & West Integration Network (CWIN) as a home delivery volunteer driver, a “phone pal” in collaboration between Elderpark HA, Befriending Food Experience and The No. Befriending Agency and as a digital kindness volunteer for Chest Heart Stroke Scotland
