About Lindsay McAlpine

As an Administrative Coordinator at Brightside Community Homes, I support the operations and communications of one of the largest non-profit housing providers in Vancouver. I manage the office administration, coordinate the board meetings. I also assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. My passion for sustainable development and environmental planning stems from my education background and research experience. I hold a post-graduate degree in Sustainable Development from Simon Fraser University and a postgraduate degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Langara College. I have also worked as a Research Assistant at Renewable Cities and Carbon Talks, where I conducted literature reviews, data analysis, and report writing on topics such as alternative energy, climate change, and urban resilience. I have developed strong skills in GIS applications, writing, and communication, which I apply in my current role and in my volunteer work as a Coordinator for the Trans Canada Trail.
