About Lindsay Tyson

After completing her degree in Art History at The University of Notre Dame, Lindsay Tyson came to New York to pursue a career in public relations. As soon as she settled into the city, Lindsay dove deep into yoga, a practice through which she experienced profound connection with herself and with others. That connection has kept her coming back to her mat again and again. As her love for the practice grew, Lindsay realized that intentional movement gives one the power to undo old habits and to navigate life with a bit more ease, grace and joy. When it became clear that she was constantly adjusting her work schedule to accommodate her yoga schedule, she decided to do her first teacher training at Pure Yoga in 2009 and began teaching immediately. Lindsay has done subsequent trainings through Jivamukti Yoga School and advanced trainings with Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee at Yoga Shanti where she currently teaches vinyasa classes in NYC. It is Lindsay’s goal to encourage students to cultivate mindfulness, strength and spaciousness and to empower them to extend the teachings of yoga to all areas of their lives. Her classes incorporate creative sequencing with meditation, clear intention and alignment, yogic philosophy and good music.
