Lindsey Shapiro is responsible for media relations for a broad range of clients from the corporate, health care and economic development industries. Some of her clients include The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority, Advanced Drainage Systems and JobsOhio.Ms. Shapiro has extensive experience working with the media on a local to international level and experience developing and implementing communication campaigns that deliver consistent messaging across all channels, including social media, public relations, direct marketing, advertising and the Web.Prior to joining Werth, Ms. Shapiro was a public relations executive at the world’s largest, local non-for-profit, UJA-Federation of New York, which served as an umbrella organization for more than 100 human health and social service agencies in New York City and 60 countries around the world. There, she not only handled media relations but also managed the publicity efforts and campaigns for more than 25 annual fundraising events. Ms. Shapiro’s career began as an assistant publicist at an entertainment public relations firm, PMK/HBH, where she gained experience with a broad range of national media. At PMK/HBH, she also worked on campaigns for personalities and films such as Warner Brother’s Superman Returns, 20th Century Fox’s The Devil Wears Prada, and most notably the Oscar-winning campaign for Forest Whitaker in Fox Searchlight Pictures’ The Last King of Scotland.She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University in Bloomington.
