NATIONAL DROUGHT MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY - Ending Drought Emergencies Project, Support to Drought Risk Management and Coordination (EDE-SDRM) June 2018 -June 2021 Drought Resilience and Preparedness Assistant- Ending Drought Emergencies Project, Support to Drought Risk Management and Coordination (EDE-SDRM) a project funded by the European Union under the National Drought Management Authority (NDMA), Kenya. Key Achievements: Reviewed preparedness proposals submitted by the NDMA County Offices Provided advice on environmental management and planning issues on the design and implementation of drought preparedness and response activities / projects. Support the capacity building of community members and NDMA county offices staff in the area of environmental management and conservation, natural resource conservation and waste management planning. Undertook regular monitoring & evaluation missions on the response a preparedness projects activity, implemented by NDMA and Call for Proposal Contractors, assisting on monitoring and evaluation of social and environmental compliance on the Projects. Supported the implementation of activities related to drought preparedness and response Compiled reports, attended meetings and prepared minutes as delegated.
