About Ling Gao

I am currently an intern at Genentech in the Business Operations department. There I work on several projects related to business continuity, training, and cost analysis. I specialize in mathematics topics such as graph theory and abstract algebra as well as biology. Completed my graduate research project in a topic related to graph theory. While attending school at Cal Poly Pomona, I am also working for the Universities tutoring center. I have held many tutoring/ teaching jobs throughout my tenure as a student. I have a passion for helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds. I will excel in higher education and eventually enter industry with the tools I need to achieve my goal of making a positive impact on the world.I was born and raised in China's (Sichuan) rural countryside and now attend school at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. I love photography and to travel. I have a passion for teaching as well as learning. I am aspiring to enter industry after I graduate from my master's program.
