Providing the best possible financing alternatives for hardworking American consumers don't necessarily qualify for traditional credit has been my life’s work. It all started when my brother John and I started a retail business in North Carolina in 1983 and then a specialty finance company in 2004. We were two young guys in our early 20’s that were given a small amount of seed money from our Dad to get our business started. We provided essential products to military service members on credit, growing the business to 15 stores in 10 states over 32 years. At the time, many of these customers did not qualify for a loan from the local banks nor did they have good enough credit to qualify for a credit card. We provided payment solutions at competitive rates and helped them get what they needed. Our customers had FICO scores at 699 or below and were grateful to receive great products and services with attractive financing terms that were fair and affordable. The term “financial inclusion” wasn’t used back then, but that’s what we were doing. In 2019 we set our sights on a grander vision, to provide financial inclusion to the nearly 60M everyday Americans that don't qualify for traditional credit and need better payment options for their Medical and Dental care, and other essential services … enter PayFina. We are a POS fintech lender preparing to launch our innovative platform to assist the underserved needs of middle income consumers. When Banks refuse to lend to higher risk consumers, the financing models currently offered by secondary and tertiary POS lenders are generally expensive and confusing. PayFina's mission is to help this "new middle class" get a transparent and affordable payment program where and when they need it. More access to care, less friction and higher customer satisfaction. Let’s help people get the help they need, take care of what’s necessary and live better. We have assembled a fantastic management team that shares our vision and we are looking forward to completing our capital raise and launching PayFina shortly thereafter. This will no doubt be a journey worth travelling.
