About Linnea Andersen

I have expertise in data processing and analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence (ML/AI), high performance computing (HPC), bioinformatics, and roadmap development towards accelerating discovery and deliver real-world outcomes. I have led interdisciplinary collaborations with researchers and industry partners to develop commercial genomic tools and data infrastructures, leveraging advanced stakeholder management and domain expertise in data management and genomic and multi-omics data analysis, holding over 15 direct meetings with industry stakeholders. I have also engineered AI/ML-driven bioinformatics workflows for biomarker discovery, combining computational expertise with genomic and multi-omics integration to develop 23 custom data management systems and pipelines that streamlined research data collection, analysis, and archival.Additional highlights from my work include: • Cross-functional collaboration skills and experience conducting bioinformatics analyses of genomic and multi-omics data to investigate traits relevant to aquaculture production (e.g, immunology, growth), as well as pioneering incorporation of AI/ML data mining workflows in processing and analysis, as evidenced by 12 successful peer-reviewed publications, including 2 in BMC Genomics. • Project management expertise to design and implement scalable AI/ML pipelines and cloud-based bioinformatics frameworks, combining advanced computational modeling skills with expertise in genomic and multi-omics data analysis to deliver actionable insights from complex biological datasets, leading over 46 projects on aquaculture, agriculture, genomics, and teaching. • Experience influencing key stakeholders, leading cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior scientists, demonstrating project management acumen and deep knowledge of systems optimization to accelerate research translation, maximize stakeholder value, and foster over 12 collaborations.
