About Linnea Meyer

Language and learning - two things sure to set my mind abuzz with curiosity and inspiration.Since studying Arabic and linguistics at Middlebury College, I’ve taken my own passion for learning into several teaching roles. My experience has strengthened my skill with working across cultures and with people from different backgrounds. I have training in language instruction, trauma-informed practices, and classroom management.I’ve loved working with kids in the classroom as well as unconventional education settings such as teaching Arabic in the woods of Minnesota. Student success in school and social environments have motivated me to put time and personality into lessons, activities, materials, and to cultivate a positive group dynamic in the programs I’ve led.In my most recent role, I worked with refugee and immigrant students one-on-one in a new virtual learning space. This program was designed to help students maintain their English over the summer and was an opportunity to support families and students in developing digital literacy skills they will need to succeed during remote learning.
