About Linsey Button

I am a licensed physical therapist with experience in both pediatric and adult inpatient, Day Rehabilitation, and outpatient levels of care with emphasis on neurological recovery. I have a strong proficiency in managing plans of care, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, and communication with patients and families for diagnoses including cerebrovascular accident, traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, traumatic and non-traumatic spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and various developmental/genetic disorders. I have a strong passion for the neurologic population and being a small part of optimizing my patients’ recoveries, whether that be returning to school, work, caregiving, activities, or helping them create their new normal. As a Student of Physical Therapy, I had the opportunity to gain clinical experience in clinics and hospitals across the country and in a wide variety of settings including pediatric inpatient rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics. These experiences provided me with opportunities to create various evidenced-based inservice projects. I also collaborated with a small group of students and faculty on synthesis research involving cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s Disease and presented these findings at CSM in 2019. I am also a 2016 graduate of DePauw University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. I was a member of the varsity softball team representing the Tigers for 4 years. As a member of the DePauw University Varsity Women's Softball team, I have learned how to time manage, work well in groups, and am accustomed to being highly communicative and organized in a fast paced and competitive environment.
