About Linxi Mytkolli

Hi, I’m Linxi! Yes, the x is supposed to be there and it's pronounced just like Lindsay. I’m passionate about creating systems that center patient voices, promote health equity, and inspire youth leadership. As Director of Patient Engagement at Diabetes Action Canada, I work with 400+ patient partners that contribute to $25M+ of research, annually. I led the creation of the Research to Action Fellowship, producing 25+ multilingual resources, and the world’s first Diabetes Resource Hub, which now connects thousands of users to 400+ global resources and organizations. I’ve represented Canada on the global stage as a G20 Youth Delegate and Novartis Scholar at One Young World, where I proudly carried Albania’s flag. Through The Dais' CanStudyUS Fellowship, I explored U.S-Canada relations, leading projects like Humans of Pharmacare to shape policies through storytelling. As a speaker, I’ve addressed audiences with the World Health Organization, Diabetes Canada and diabetesmine, and the G20 Youth Forum. I’m passionate about amplifying marginalized voices and sharing stories that inspire action. Fun facts? My favourite candy is Sour Patch Kids, I’ve visited 25+ countries (and counting!), and I’m a dedicated elf on the shelf for my family—our elf even became diabetic after I was diagnosed!
