About Lionel Sacker

My name is Lionel Sacker, bilingual (French and English), and I am passionate about advocating for youth with mental health issues. Through mentorship, support, and counselling, I believe youth can achieve personal life goals. I intend to utilize my education, work, and volunteering experiences to support marginalized communities as a social service community worker. Effective listening is one of the strengths that I have developed over the three years of working at the YMCA. During my time at the YMCA, I practiced my leadership skills in a supportive environment. Through the mentorship program, we supported and assisted youth in preparation for adulthood by workshop and programing for post-secondary education, future career, or job-seeking. I look forward to sharing my excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and learning from you in my journey as a social service worker.
