About Lisa Actor

Lisa is a trusted fundraising professional with a successful track record beginning in 1986 when she made the transition from a science career to nonprofit development. In her first position, as Executive Director of the Public Education Foundation of Edmonds, WA, she discovered the joy of helping philanthropists align their money with their passions. Her career progressed in the Advancement Department at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT where she held positions in every aspect of development during her 18 1/2 years, ending her tenure as Associate Vice President with $150 million raised. As Chief Philanthropy Officer at Lowell Observatory, Lisa was able to create a donor-centric philanthropy culture that has succeeded beyond anyone's expectations, resulting in over $100 million raised between 2015 - 2023. Lisa has stepped down from CPO to provide consultation to her successor. She has established Lisa Actor Consulting LLC to share what she has learned about successful, donor-focused fundraising practices with other nonprofit organizations.
