About Lisa August

Committed public sector leader who is consistently focused on growth and development of staff, the organization, community, and myself. I believe leadership includes preparing the next generation of leaders, including always training up staff to be able to step in when I leave or to be able to keep the ship afloat when I am not personally available. Spending time in small rural counties has provided opportunities to stretch and grow from a breadth of experiences that I may not otherwise have had. As we do not have the ability to operate in economies of scale, I wear many hats, including advocating with state leaders and have become adept at communicating the needs of our organization and county. I am a lifelong learner that is never satisfied with the status quo.
