About Lisa Barnes

With 13+ years in radio journalism, I have the skills and lived experience to take your 'everyday' and turn it into newsworthy, thought-provoking and genuinely interesting stories. Profile Media is not traditional, and we’re not afraid to say it. Forget what you know about PR, I am part of a team of journalists that achieve solid results, with clients positioned as go-to experts and leaders in their field. We know what makes a news story, and how to tell it. I am a former News Director of a radio newsroom - a position that requires knowing exactly what makes news, and why your story is newsworthy. I have grown an organic following of 10k+ on social media based on factual information, without spin and without sensation. I am a runner and know what it takes to show up and put in the hard yards when no one is watching. I apply this same commitment and dedication to my job, putting in the work that no one else sees. I'm a Mum and believe first and foremost in bringing kindness, compassion and care to what I do. Above all else, I’ll work with a smile on my face and ready to share a laugh, because I genuinely love what I do and want to sprinkle that positivity along the way.
