I am a PR professional and manager with a Ph.D. in English and 20 years of experience in publishing as well as national television and consumer PR. As Managing Director at Fortier PR, I oversaw all the publicists in the firm. As a publicity director and executive publicist, I managed campaigns for bestselling business authors including Scott Galloway, Marcus Buckingham, Amy Webb, Chris Zook, Martin Lindstrom, Scott Belsky, Vijay Govindarajan, former Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly, former JetBlue chairman Joel Peterson, and books and research by the Big Three strategy consulting firms. At Random House I planned and executed national publicity campaigns for a wide array of bestselling, award-winning books across categories, genres and imprints. One of my specialties was establishing debut and “make fiction” titles as New York Times bestsellers (Justin Cronin’s The Passage, Vanessa Diffenbaugh’s The Language of Flowers, Jamie Ford’s Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, Nancy Horan’s Loving Frank, and Paula McLain’s The Paris Wife, among others).
