Being friendly, I like to think that I have mastered the art of making people feel welcome. People describe me as patient, supportive and understanding and say my calmness is contagious and puts them at ease. I also make connections with people quickly which helps to establish rapport and break the ice. If strong communication and organizational skills are a plus for your team then I certainly add value. I like to use humor when the situation permits and have found that, when applied tactically and tactfully, it can diffuse a tense situation. I have even taken a stand-up comedy class which provides interesting transferrable skills in relating to people. Enough talk though…I have also walked the walk. I am a seasoned customer service representative with an extensive 20-year track record of delivering exceptional support and building strong client relationships. Handling diverse customer inquiries, multitasking and managing time effectively become second nature. Being very observant and exhibiting a high level of attentive to detail helps me to meet customers where they are at. Furthermore, I can leverage these people-skills not just in my interactions with customers but with staff – having mentored 30 individuals throughout my career.
