About Lisa Bera

I'm a passionate and driven mechanical engineering student at the University of Toronto, pursuing a minor in Sustainable Energy. My interests span nuclear engineering, CAD, robotics, and continuous learning — areas I've had the opportunity to explore through a variety of hands-on projects and leadership roles. So far, I've led a nuclear fuel channel elongation inspection project, contributed to the design of zero-carbon HVAC systems, and taught as an engineering instructor. I’ve also had the honor of being named one of Canada’s Schulich Leaders, which has opened doors to pursue my passions in impactful ways. My core strengths include teamwork, leadership, CAD, software development, robotics, and manufacturing. I strive to apply and grow these skills through every engineering challenge I take on. As a Schulich Leader and a woman in STEM, I’m committed to being a positive role model and encouraging others to pursue their goals with confidence and determination. I believe in the power of learning, innovation, and using engineering to drive meaningful change.
