About Lisa Bloomquist

I have been an Affordable Housing Finance Professional since 2006 as an employee of various affordable housing focused Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). I began my employment in affordable housing finance with Colorado Housing Assistance Corporation (CHAC) as a Program Manager that underwrote, processed, and serviced down payment assistance loans for low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers. After CHAC I worked for Mile High Community Loan Fund (MHCLF - now Impact Development Fund) as a Loan Officer. With MHCLF I managed a portfolio of commercial loans to developers of affordable housing and nonprofit facilities. After working for MHCLF I briefly worked for RCAC then shifted to independent consulting. Currently I am the Executive Director for HomesFund, a nonprofit CDFI that has a mission of building diverse and resilient communities by supporting the development of affordable housing programs and empowering residents with the financial resources and educational tools to achieve homeownership in Southwest Colorado. As the Executive Director of HomesFund I am responsible for strategically leading the organization to maximize positive impact on the Southwest Colorado community. The HomesFund programs of Homebuyer Education, Housing Counseling, Mortgage Assistance, Manufactured/Mobile Home Loan Program, and Developer Support Program are overseen and supported by my grant writing and program oversight. I am passionate about affordable housing and increasing the supply of affordable and attainable homes for our workforce.
