About Lisa Byrd

A results driven IT professional with over 25 years experience developing with Microsoft technologies. It is my belief that employees should enhance their company during their stay. These enhancements should not just be in your position. As an employee I believe you should take ownership and help to make improvements wherever needed by influencing and recommending change. Over my career, I have made many improvements for my employers, clients and co-workers which were implemented. Some of these improvements are- Proposed Stork Parking for pregnant women which was implemented - Co-lead of a company forum that increased diversity awareness resulting in the office receiving Diversity Award - Proposed document management system for a company team and demonstrated it to leadership. It was implemented- Recommended a training company for Microsoft certification which was used to certify all developers in the company local office - Improved application performance by modifying database related code - Improved software quality providing detailed testing of applications; thus, improving the reputation of my employer - Recommended commuter benefits for employees which was implemented - Passed on lessons learned to other developers - Recommended new folder system for timesheet related information for employees which was implemented - My development broke new ground with the Civilian Staffing Tool solution and is laying the foundation for future custom SharePoint development efforts for the Patuxent River, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, IT/IM branch- Transformed Wiki systems to Sharepoint 2010 system with automated Nintex notifications and approval process- Instrumental in helping Zenetex get a five year sole source contract renewed.
