About Lisa Clements

Dr. Clements is a leader in Behavioral Health with over 30 years of experience directing both State and National organizations and initiatives. She has served as a National Consultant in Behavioral Health Integration, Behavioral Health Commissioner, VP of Population Health in a Managed Care Company, Director of Statewide Medicaid Behavioral Health and, as a Director of Statewide Children's Psychiatric Services. Dr. Clements is passionate about creating systems and policies that provide superior behavioral health support to children and adolescents to empower them to live safe, healthy, and productive lives. She is a champion for children and families and served as Board President for Big Brothers Big Sisters for many years. Dr. Clements is a strong advocate for restoration-based criminal justice reform. She is currently leading with the Correctional Leaders Association to implement person-focused changes within US based corrections systems to decrease recidivism, address systemic challenges, and increase offender optimism post release. Dr. Clements has consulted with several state governments to provide insight on the implementation of crisis services, systems-level change regarding managed behavioral healthcare, and work around the intersection of criminal justice and behavioral health. Dr. Clements has served in Executive positions for the following nonprofit leadership boards- NASMHPD Research Institute (NRI-inc.org)- The Equitas Project - Big Brothers Big Sisters
