About Lisa Crowe

With over 19 years of experience in special education, I currently act in a leadership role, one to support those I work with in being their best. I hold an Instructional II certification in both Special Education and Elementary Education, and I am pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Education Leadership and Management with a focus on mind, brain, and learning. I lead and support a team of educators who provide high-quality instruction and services to students with diverse needs and abilities. I work with team members to ensure teachers and other staff have their needs met to ultimately meet the needs of our learners. I am passionate about helping students manage and progress through their special education goals, and providing professional, individualized guidance to students, their families, and other teachers. I have a strong background in autism and TEACCH, a comprehensive program that supports students with autism spectrum disorders. I am also certified in SAP, a program that helps students overcome barriers to learning. In addition, I have contributed to multiple projects and initiatives that enhance the curriculum, learning objectives, and technologies for special education students. Some of my accomplishments include receiving The Key is Me Award, helping dozens of students transition into employment or further education, and pursuing continuous education and development in my field.
