About Lisa Davis

As a seasoned CFO with over 15 years of experience, I have a proven track record of leading financial strategy and operations in various sectors. I have both PE and VC experience. I am currently serving as Interim CFO at Plyable and continuing to work with Carbon8. I am responsible for Finance and HR, a core member of all management teams and an advisor to the board, ensuring strong processes, systems, controls, and a collaborative culture. Previously, I was the CFO at Censornet for nearly a decade, where I played a pivotal role in building this SaaS company from a start-up to a multi-million turnover business steering the company's strategic direction and driving commercial success. I managed the acquisition and integration of Danish and US companies, established effective teams, processes, and controls, and oversaw finance, commercial operations, HR, facilities, contracts, and legal Fundraising was critical to Censornet’s growth and the company closed its most recent funding round in 2024. Censornet's growth has been both organic, and via acquisitions. and I successfully led pivotal acquisitions and the integration of international multi-million turnover companies in Europe and the US, ensuring seamless transitions and sustained growth. I also led 2 high value exits / company sales at Censornet and SaaSID. Highly skilled in planning and reporting with strong financial accounting and cashflow skills Financial reporting, analysis, planning and modelling are key strengths and were integral to my role reporting to the diverse Board which included Venture Capital and Corporate Investors. I am an expert in establishing the fundamental building blocks required to transition a company from inception to a multi-million turnover business. These include processes, systems, controls and a strong people culture to underpin commercial success. I qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC (Coopers & Lybrand). In my earlier career, I held a number of senior finance roles with companies whose turnover ranged from £1m to in excess of £100m, including Pitney Bowes Ltd, Autoglass Ltd, Belron International Ltd and Audatex (UK) Ltd. Roles included finance, process and project management.
