About Lisa Dorfer
I am an occupational therapist by profession and during my studies for the European Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, I shifted my professional focus and have since been working at the Institute for Outcomes Research at the Medical University of Vienna, under the guidance of Tanja Stamm. Here I am currently pursuing a PhD in Public Health. In my current research position, I focus on the collection and analysis of outcomes data in health care, with an emphasis on patient-reported outcomes, as the inclusion of a patient’s perspective is essential to improve treatment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic conditions. Due to the affiliation of the Institute for Outcomes Research with the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Arthritis and Rehabilitation, as well as the long-standing research work of the Institute members in this field, a large part of the projects I am involved in are in rheumatic diseases.
