Lisa Engel (PhD, OT Reg.(Ont.)) is passionate about research that can inform better decision making. This includes evidence-informed health and rehabilitation care for vulnerable populations, especially adults living with acquired cognitive impairments. Her work has involved adult populations with age related cognitive decline, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and lupus. Her primary research passion is understanding, measuring, and improving the financial management activities of adults with chronic conditions and/or acquired cognitive impairments. Her future goals are to be known as a health-related financial management expert and influencer, rekindle her skills in programming/coding, and expand her garden from her current two plants (that she has now triumphantly kept alive for two years).
