About Lisa Evans

For me, finance isn’t just a back-office function—it’s a key partner in driving business success. I thrive on building strong relationships, understanding business challenges, and providing financial insights that help companies grow and achieve their targets. In my current role, I lead the budget-setting process, provide senior stakeholders with financial insights, support business initiatives, and identify risks and opportunities—ensuring finance plays a proactive role in decision-making. Without this, there’s a risk of inaccurate data influencing critical choices. With 25 years in finance, I’ve gained experience across multiple functions, allowing me to see the bigger picture. Since joining PA Media Group in 2015, I’ve worked across various business areas and later transitioned to Alamy to establish its commercial finance function after acquisition. I’m known for supporting P&L owners in everything from pricing and budgeting to financial analysis for business cases. Recently, I developed a data-driven online pricing framework using A/B testing to optimise revenue. I also stepped up to support the MD during a Finance Director vacancy—an experience that’s pushed me to consider my next career move. Calm, analytical, and always striving to add value, I enjoy tackling complex challenges. Outside of work, I’ve recently taken up golf—not great at it yet, but I love learning new skills and pushing myself.
