I am a tenured Associate Professor at the University of North Alabama's Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions. With over 25 year's experience as a registered nurse specializing in Mental Health care, my passion is for helping the next generation of nurses develop the compassionate and advocating people-centered skills they will need to navigate their future in healthcare. I am a Certified Nurse Educator, ATI Champion, Apple Educator, CE Instructor, twice published author, Simulation Scholar, and multiple grant recipient. Community service, wellness education, NAMI involvement and professional mentoring are important elements of my life right now - and I feel incredibly honored to work at UNA - a phenomenal nursing program - with some of highest NCLEX pass rates in the state!
