About Lisa Kaplan

I have over 12 years of experience with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as a Diversion Investigator with Top Secret clearance. I was responsible for conducting audits and regulatory investigations of pharmaceutical/healthcare industry DEA Registrants in order to ensure compliance with DEA requirements. My responsibilities included preventing, detecting and disrupting the diversion of controlled substances and listed chemicals. In addition to my regulatory responsibilities, I lead drug‐related investigations throughout the State of Wisconsin that have resulted in criminal, civil and administrative actions and/or proceedings. I am an expert in controlled substance related criminal investigations. My expertise also includes in-depth knowledge of federal and Wisconsin state laws related to controlled substances. I am licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. My 10 years of legal experience includes prosecuting violations of Illinois Securities laws, legal drafting, and real estate transactions. On numerous occasions, I provided specialized training related to drug investigations and trends in drug diversion to healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and the general public. I am currently a sworn law enforcement officer (LEO) in the State of Wisconsin.
