About Lisa Kaplan

I have a unique combination of degrees in both Business and Education along with my knowledge and skills in program planning, development and implementation. I have been actively designing, operating and evaluating programs and events in the areas of culture, tourism and education. I am an intelligent, highly motivated, creative and organized individual who has developed a keen ability to work well with multi-dimensional teams of people from diverse backgrounds across the globe. In my years of work in education I have demonstrated my ability to pioneer new initiatives in research, strategy development, program development, and program delivery. I have a passion for educating youth and I have a strong understanding of how to challenge their imagination to make them think critically and engage in their learning process. Through my work at Casa Loma, the Ontario Ministry of Culture & Tourism, MLI and Bunch, I have demonstrated my ability to pioneer new initiatives in program development, research, strategy development, evaluation and program delivery. Currently, at Casa Loma, I am responsible for program design and development, program operations and financial evaluation, local and international group sales, curriculum based programs for school and group outreach and partnerships. I work closely with teachers, schools, school boards, educational tour providers, language schools, tour operators, seniors groups, daycares, and summer camps. I have also nurtured several productive relationships with hotel concierges, local libraries, the City of Toronto public agencies, TVO and the deaf community. I am an enthusiastic team player who wants to foster a fun, positive and passionate learning environment. My strengths lie in my ability to develop innovative strategic plans, coordinate and deliver programs and build a network of sustainable working relationships in order to support creativity and growth.
