About Lisa Klaphake

I provide a wide variety of communications and marketing support services for both internal and external use. I develop proposals, Q & Es/SOQs, factsheets, brochures, presentations, website content, images, resumes, project examples, newsletter articles, etc. I also edit and format technical reports, memos, and correspondences. I support several discipline-specific practice groups within Barr as well as our internal mining forum. I also help compile and prepare our CEO's monthly company update. I joined Barr in 2006 after ten years of teaching English and special education (LD and EBD) in public, vocational, and correctional settings. I have a BS in English, three teaching licenses, and about 80 graduate credits in special education, instructional design, and marketing. I also have two years of experience as an instructional writer of computer- and web-based training.
