About Lisa Lalji

Hi there! I am Lisa Maria Lalji. Here’s a little about me: I earned my Doctor of Medicine in the Dominican Republic, with a focus on research, tropical medicine, and global health, and then completed my Master of Public Health at Nova Southeastern University. During my MPH, I served as their COVID-19 Case Manager and engaged in student leadership and community initiatives, experiences that deepened my commitment to sustainable, evidence-based solutions for underserved communities. My experience in medicine and public health has fueled my commitment to patient-centered care for marginalized communities. I work to break down barriers to healthcare, improve access to vital services, and collaborate with others to build a healthier, more equitable future. I’ve worked with diverse communities, and I truly believe the best way to create lasting change is through legislation. That’s why I hope to one day play an active role in shaping policy - this is one of the biggest aspirations in my journey.
