About Lisa Mayo

I have 14 years of experience as a web accessibility analyst and accessibility team manager for an in-house web accessibility team. I've worked with private sector, state government, and federal government clients, as well as clients in the EU and Canada. I also have experience as an award-winning UX designer and communications manager. I'm currently a Certified Trusted Tester and Professional Scrum Master with a Public Trust clearance. I've performed accessibility testing for desktop/mobile websites, eLearning platforms, publications, and multimedia while adhering to Section 508/WCAG requirements, agency style guidelines, user-experience research, and government best practices. I've also conducted accessibility training for individuals and project teams. I've supported senior-level government managers by conducting agency-wide Section 508 audits and providing guidance on improving accessibility policies and compliance metrics. And I've supported business development by writing proposals and VPATs for government IT bids. In my free time, I am a long-time communications volunteer in the National Wildlife Refuge System.
