About Lisa McFarlane

I have been a part of Canada’s leading commercial real estate financing team since 2015, but I have been working in commercial banking since 1997. First National Financial is Canada's largest non-bank lender, originating, underwriting and servicing both residential and commercial mortgages. As the number one lender of CMHC commercial mortgages, First National currently has more than $100 billion in mortgages under administration. I began my career in accounting, which laid the foundation for my passion for analysis and numbers. When I moved into commercial real estate, I really enjoyed being involved with construction – participating as an integral part of the process of a building coming to life. I believe in 100% commitment to service, which for me means responsiveness, turnaround times, advice, honesty, and challenging productively. Relationships have also always been foundational for me. Daily interactions and being part of a client’s process and success motivate me. With my deep experience in the industry, I usually have a precedent that I can draw on to help solve problems. I really relish that challenge.
