About Lisa Pierce

In the words of Jesus,"to whom much is given, much is required. He also said,"the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few." We need more people intentionally serving and seeing the needs of their neighbors in order to build close and interdependent communities. That is my heart and specifically around home repair and renovations. My focus is on developing young adults and youth in order to help them extend compassion into their communities. As the founder of Alabama Rural Ministry (ARM) 25 years ago (1998), we can help youth groups, churches, and businesses get people into meaningful acts of service that result in transformation. Personally, I have training and experience in Leadership Development, Strategic Planning, Volunteer Management, Preaching, and Public Speaking. Futhermore, I am experienced in non-profit management and ministry organization with skills emanating from a Master of Arts in Leadership from Asbury Theological Seminary. I also have a degree in Strategic Military Studies from the US Army War College. Finally, I have served in the Alabama National Guard for 33 years and am currently a COL and Brigade Commander.
