I believe that engaged people make a tangible difference to the success of a business if harnessed and energised. I’m passionate about achieving through others; succeeding in this is what has kept me in the HR profession for over 25 years. It’s why I transitioned from production and quality management into the purer people management elements of business to partner technical colleagues so they can better engage others too. HR Generalist with specialist experience in Engagement, Change, Leadership Development, Competency, and Knowledge Management. Skilled in managing teams of 20+, including HRBPs and other specialisms. A commercially focused, adaptable professional passionate about coaching and cultural transformation, improving efficiencies, and fostering well-being and belonging. I align business needs with human resource strategies, leveraging international expertise in strategic and operational people change, including retention strategies and leadership partnerships. Experienced in stakeholder collaboration and engagement, with regular CIPD networking for updates on employment law and best practices. Highly driven, with strong critical thinking and innovative problem-solving, ensuring team delivery and organisational improvement. Ambidextrous by birth, I use my logical brain to problem-solve (maths background) whilst empathising with the emotional elements of change and avoiding rabbit holes. I don’t do ‘can’t’; there’s always a way, even if it’s a compromise. Firm but fair, I have a high drive to achieve personally and through others, whilst influencing focus for longer-term benefits such as engaging to retain, leading to greater profit. I am able to size up challenges quickly whilst investing time in making sustainable change. Not precious about job title, I’m a senior all-rounder as a generalist and have held specialisms in L&D and engagement, with a passion for people challenges and joining the dots. I anticipate consequences and consider potential outcomes before choosing the optimum path. Others refer to me as a good decision maker, energetic, flexible, creative and someone who gets things done. I was also honoured to be asked to proof-read a book by Notion - STAR® (Global award-winning experts in Transforming Management Performance): The Answer is a Question. it's a fabulous tool to achieve all of the above.
