About Lisa Robinson

Recently retired but finding myself doing some consultant work. It's hard to go cold turkey! I'm certified in Hogan Assessments and find it very fulfilling to coach and mentor leaders through these assessments. Taking up the guitar again, decorating a new home and wondering if I could actually learn how to play golf! But this retirement stuff has caused me to reflect. When I was in college, I admired the students who knew exactly what they wanted to do. I was not one of those! I found my way into retail. I can honestly say that this is where I learned about life and the human condition. I was very fortunate to find great examples of people who understood what it meant to help others. I quickly learned that I could be happy in my work life when I had a leader who listened and inspired me to go from good to great; someone who saw potential in me and pushed me out of my comfort zone. These leaders were inclusive, supportive and consistent no matter what change we were going through. I've tried my best to help leaders embrace these attributes. I have a strong belief system. It drives me to inspire employees to want to come to work for the joy of making other people (customers) happy! It takes time, mutual respect and a work-together approach to build relationships and move things forward for the good of the organization. My partners see me as a credible activist; friendly, frank and logical.and I like to have fun!
