About Lisa Romo

I am a quirky and whimsical facilitator of knowledge and strategies for teachers and students. Through motivation, engagement, and mindfulness practices, teachers are excited to come to my workshops and acquire new knowledge, skills and motivation to implement to effect immediate change, or foster a growth mindset in the process. I have written and delivered multiple professional development sessions for local districts, campuses, for the Texas Regional Collaborative of Math and Science in Austin, Texas, STEM Conferences. I have also written and presented learning experiences for teachers at both CAMT and CAST. Community presentations for local Lion’s Club members have also been an experience I have shared in, bringing school districts and communities together. My curriculum writing experience has been for teachers, campuses and districts, including developing project-based learning opportunities, how to use data as your copilot in instruction, guided math and math station practice, guided reading, anecdotal notes, Nix the Tricks, literacy and metacognition, and the necessity for consistency in problem solving. My research extends from educational content needs, strategies and trends to social/emotional learning and mindfulness practices. My applied doctoral project encompasses aspects of mindfulness, emotional intelligence and the impact on educators and their teaching efficacy.
