About Lisa Scott

I am currently serving as the VET Program Coordinator at the Personal Injury Education Foundation (PIEF), leveraging over 30 years of expertise within the Victorian Workers Compensation Scheme. In this role, I oversee the development and delivery of vocational education and training programs tailored to professionals in the field of personal injury management.My journey in the industry began as a dedicated case manager at SIO, where I navigated all facets of claims handling, from liability determination to return-to-work strategies, and from managing impairment claims to overseeing common law cases. Over the years, I honed my skills in dispute management, representing the Agency at the forefront of legal disputes as a disputes officer and technical expert at the Accident Compensation Conciliation Service.Driven by a passion for education, I transitioned into the realm of training, starting as a technical trainer within an Agency and later transitioning to the Victorian WorkCover Authority. Here, I spearheaded the development of industry-relevant training programs aligned with WorkSafe Vic policies, culminating in the creation and delivery of nationally recognized qualifications such as Certificate Certificate IV, and Diploma in Personal Injury Management (Workers Compensation). As an appointed assessor for the RTO, I ensured the rigorous evaluation of participants' reports and qualifications.In my current capacity at the PIEF, I continue to contribute actively by facilitating training sessions and assessments. Additionally, I act in the capacity of a Subject Matter Expert for the development of training tools such as the icare Professional Standards Framework. I believe learning should be a lifetime pursuit and am currently undertaking my Post Graduate Certificate at Monash University in Public Health.
